Meet the Founder

Hello! My name is Kara Norton-Jones and I am the founder of Virtually-Anywhere OBM and am an Online Business Manager. I have a BA in Business Management and Advance Diploma in Accounting. Not only am I a business owner but a mum wife and a I volunteer as a secretary on a board for a local community education centre.

Over the years, I have worked in different industries such as hospitality, kitchen manufacturing, plant nurseries, wholesale to the hardware industry and education. While studying my degree I was also a student mentor and completed my work placement module at Federation University in a working group to make recommendations to reduce time waste. I have been able to observe how different businesses operate and broaden my knowledge. I have gained experience in all aspects of accounts and administration, payroll, cashflow and costings, report writing, coordinating projects and leading teams.

What I love is listening to the story of a business owner, where their ideas of their business came from, what they want to achieve and how they want to grow. I then assist in planning and implementing a strategy plan to achieve their goals!

About Virtually-Anywhere OBM

We opened the virtual doors in 2020 to meet new people and businesses while sharing knowledge and skills. Our passion is to learn about business and finding ways to free up time for business owners, manage their office and improve systems and processes.

Virtually-Anywhere OBM works in a virtual environment, keeping in contact with clients via email, phone calls, text and Zoom. If your business is based in the Melbourne area, we can meet face-to-face, even occasionally work in your office or at a café!

Our goals are to share skills, learn from others and contribute to the success of micro and small businesses. We always strive to build good, long-term relationships with our clients.
